My Story
Pam brings decades-long community roots and a dual background in adult education and volunteer leadership to the Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation. She and her husband, Don, have called Drayton Valley home for 38 years, raising two sons while cultivating deep ties to local organizations and residents.

For 17 years Pam served as an instructor with the Pembina Educational Consortium, designing and delivering adult-learning programs that equipped students with practical skills and renewed confidence. Her success in the classroom reflected a talent for mentorship, clear communication, and individualized support—strengths she later carried into healthcare.

In 1997 Pam transitioned to her second career passion, accepting the role of Volunteer Coordinator at the Drayton Valley Hospital. Over the next decade-plus she recruited, trained, and managed a diverse team of volunteers who enhanced patient comfort and supported frontline staff. Her strategic scheduling, orientation programs, and recognition initiatives ensured a reliable, motivated volunteer corps until her retirement in 2014.

A firm believer that vibrant communities are built through service, Pam continues to donate her time and expertise to local causes. Her blend of instructional know-how, organizational skill, and unwavering commitment to volunteerism strengthens the Foundation’s mission of advancing health and wellness for every resident of Drayton Valley and the surrounding region.
