My Story
Jennifer is a long-time advocate for community wellness with over two decades of experience in patient care, health education, and holistic well-being. Guided by a deep belief in the healing power of compassion, mindfulness, and human connection, she has dedicated her career to helping others achieve balance and resilience.

After earning her Bachelor of Physical Education from Acadia University, Jennifer spent eight years travelling and working around the world—an experience that inspired her to share her passion for wellness through yoga, meditation, and personal development. She later completed her Nursing degree at MacEwan University and has since built a diverse career as a rural Registered Nurse, Nursing Instructor, and Home Care Case Manager in Hinton and Drayton Valley. She now serves as a Clinical Nurse Educator under Seniors Health for Alberta Health Services’ northwest Central Zone.

An active community leader, Jennifer has contributed as UNA Treasurer, Executive Board Member of the Wild Mountain Music Society, Junior Forest Wardens Leader, and mindfulness facilitator for “Bridges for Mental Wellness.” She also volunteers with Alberta Health Services, offering breathwork and meditation sessions at the Opportunity Home Treatment & Recovery Centre.

With over 22 years in nursing, Jennifer brings to the Drayton Valley Health Foundation a grounded perspective, a passion for service, and a commitment to advancing accessible, integrated health resources for the community she proudly calls home.
