Brandon Burgess

Brandon Burgess blends a multidisciplinary academic foundation with hands-on entrepreneurial grit to advance the Drayton Valley Health Services Foundation’s mission of community-centred care. Educated in psychology, sociology, and political science, Brandon approaches every initiative with a deep understanding of human behaviour, social systems, and communication—skills he complements with lifelong training in sales, marketing, and negotiation gained through his family’s business-development consultancy, where he remains a part-owner.

Born and raised in Edmonton, Brandon moved to Drayton Valley in 2022, spending 18 months as a heavy-equipment operator before stepping out full-time on other projects. On January 1, 2025, Brandon was brought onto the DVHSF's team as the Executive Director, making a new way to put his passion for people to use. His personal recovery from chronic health conditions fuels a compassionate, solutions-oriented outlook: “problems are merely solutions waiting to be discovered.” As both a small-business start-up owner and Foundation executive, he champions servant leadership—“always We, never Me”—fostering a strategic approach that translates gratitude, humility, and empathy into tangible health outcomes for our neighbours in need.
